Tonight Mr. Dennis will read us, It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny by Marilyn Sadler. In this story we meet a bunny who decided he would rather not be a bunny anymore. He leaves home and tries out many new roles…a bear, bird, beaver, pig, moose, possum, and even a skunk. Finally, P.J realizes that being a bunny is perfect for him and he returns home with a new-found gratitude!
Right now, we are all finding new obstacles and hurdles in just living our everyday lives. How might we find gratitude even when we find our days quite challenging?
In Philippians 4:6-7 we are reminded not to be anxious and to present our prayers to God with thanksgiving.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
Are there areas of our lives in which we could express more gratitude? Are there people in our lives who would benefit from a “thank you” from us?
