Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope, and a future.
God has good plans for every one of us. They may not always be the plans we think they should be but God’s love is bigger than our own understanding and sometimes we must trust in that.
At the beginning of the book we find out that Bruce is a grump but by the end of the book he is looking much more relaxed on a beach in Florida. Perhaps this unexpected life circumstance changed his perspective for the better. Perhaps, we too, can embrace change in our lives as something that may offer a new, maybe even better perspective on life.
We want to control, we want to believe that we always make the way but the truth is- we aren’t in control, God is, and sometimes change is God’s gentle whisper to us reminding us to trust in God’s good plans not in our plans.
