Tonight, Ms. Ann will read us Wilma Jean the Worry Machine by Julia Cook. In this book we hear about a little girl who worries a lot, about a lot of different things. She worries about things before they even happen and sometimes she worries so much it makes her feel sick.
Psalm 94:18-19, says “When I thought, “My foot is slipping,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.”
Basically, the writer is saying, I felt like I was falling and I had so many worries but the Lord held me close and helped me feel calm.
In this time of uncertainty and unknown we can rest in God’s abundant care for us and in God’s promise to hold us close and help us feel calm.
